The Pella School Board reviewed the 2018-19 Certified Annual Report at their meeting Monday. It is filed with the Department of Education each year, and details the assets, liabilities, revenue and expenditures in all funds of the district. According to the report, all of the district’s fund balances and spending authority remain healthy. The board approved a NASA trip proposal, new stipends for show choir accompanists, the 2018-19 Special Education Supplement (SES), and request Modified Allowable Growth for the deficit. An initial enrollment number was also given for review as well, broken down by grade level. The numbers show slight growth in total full-time students as of the first day of school. Enrollment will be certified in October, which determines the amount of state aid the district receives per pupil for the next fiscal year.
