The Indianola School Board approved a growth request for their special education and limited english proficiency deficits at their most recent meeting Monday, allowing the district to spend more money on the programs that run at a loss. Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News the funding for these programs is very complex, but Business Official Johna Clancy does a wonderful job keeping everything in line and keeping the district in good financial shape. The board also approved several other financial programs during the meeting, including over $1,000,000 in potential savings from bond refinancing.
