The Indianola Community School District is happy with how the students, staff, and administration conducted the homecoming celebration last week, and regard it as a huge success. Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News the students conducted themselves appropriately while having a ton of fun, and that says a lot about our community.
“It’s something that the community always enjoys. It’s always fun, the Thursday night parade, seeing everyone come out for that, the floats come out for that. Our kids really do a great job of enjoying things in a positive way. I’ve heard of places where there is a lot of destruction around homecoming, and that is not a celebratory thing. It really is a community event and celebration, and to cap it off we saw a lot of scoring in a big home football game win.”
