An early week off provides a distinct transition to the start of American Rivers Conference play for the Central College football team this afternoon.

It’s homecoming for the Dutch, who are 2-0 and play their conference opener against Loras College.

Central last was in action two weeks ago in a 45-19 non-conference win over DePauw University.  The other eight league schools opened American Rivers play last Saturday, with Loras tumbling at home against Coe College 24-7 to fall to 1-2.

The Voice of the Dutch, Trevor Castle, will call today’s action on 92.1 KRLS with Central’s NFCA Hall of Fame softball coach George Wares providing the color.  Pregame is at 12:35 with kickoff set for 1:00.
