The Warren County Historical Society’s annual Log Cabin Days festival begins today. A parade will take place on the downtown Indianola square at 10am, and sashes honoring the 72-year struggle for women’s right to vote are being cut and pinned with a yellow rose. They will be available at the start of the parade for those who want to walk with other supporters of the 19th Amendment. A car show will take place on the Warren County Fairgrounds tomorrow, and organizer Matt Mitchell tells KNIA News anything with wheels on it is welcome to come, and there will be multiple trophies and categories to compete in. Other activities such as a farmer’s market and quilt sale will be on the Warren County Fairgrounds after the parade.
