Tomorrow evening the Knoxville School District will play host to guest speaker Jeff Yalden at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center at 7 pm. Yalden is being brought in with funds raised by the Your Life Matters 5k for suicide prevention. Yalden is a Gulf War Veteran, a two-time Marine-of-the-Year recipient, and Mr. New Hampshire Male America. Since 1992, Jeff Yalden has spoken over 4,000 times in all 50 states, 49 countries, and every Province in Canada about his struggles with mental health and advocating for suicide prevention. The event is free and open to the public. Yalden will also be speaking to Knoxville High School and Middle School Students tomorrow and on Tuesday, October 1st.
