The Distance for Diabetes 5k will be held this Saturday. The event will be held at First Baptist Church in Knoxville located at 1601 N. Lincoln Street in Knoxville at 9 am. The event is being held to help raise funds for supporting research for Type 1 Diabetes which affects approximately 1.25 million American children and adults each year. Registration for the event is $25 per participant with the deadline to register by Tuesday, October 3rd. Donations will also be accepted through October 3rd as well.
