The Knoxville School District will host to guest speaker Jeff Yalden tonight at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center at 7 pm. Yalden is being brought in with funds raised by the Your Life Matters 5k for suicide prevention. Organizer of the Your Life Matter 5k Scott Karr says Yalden will speak with Knoxville High School Students this morning before speaking with the community, Karr also says Yadlen will speak with middle school students tomorrow and will take time to learn more about the Knoxville community. Yalden is a Gulf War Veteran, a two-time Marine-of-the-Year recipient, and Mr. New Hampshire Male America. Since 1992, Jeff Yalden has spoken over 4,000 times in all 50 states, 49 countries, and every Province in Canada about his struggles with mental health and advocating for suicide prevention. Tonight’s event is free and open to the public.
