The Simpson Storm football team earned over 600 yards of total offense in their 46-0 blowout of Buena Vista Saturday afternoon, in a game heard live on 94.3 KNIA. The Storm scored on the second play of the game with a Tanner Krueger 51 yard pass to Sam Bartlett, then again just three minutes later the pair connected again on a 68 yard pass to make it 14-0. The Beavers drove down into Storm territory to get a first and goal situation, but a turnover on downs gave the Storm the ball back, and they would score again, eventually taking a 30-0 lead into the halftime break. Bartlett scored another touchdown in the second half, giving him 193 yards on the day with three scores, Joe Mcnally had 7 catches for 109 yards and a touchdown, running back Joe Meyer rushed for 120 yards, freshman back Noah Bruckner had 122 yards and two rushing touchdowns, and quarterback Tanner Krueger threw for 337 yards and four scores. The Storm are now 3-1 overall and 2-0 in American Rivers Conference play, and will next play at Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday.
