Additional heavy rainfall is possible this week, beginning late tonight into Tuesday. Chances of periodic showers and thunderstorms will continue through Wednesday, with widespread precipitation totals between 1-3 inches during that time, and heavier amounts possible. Localized flooding will be a threat and road conditions may quickly deteriorate. Over the weekend, most of the region received 1-2 inches of precipitation (see below). Uncomfortable heat is in the forecast today, with heat index values topping out near 95 degrees. All residents are reminded to look before they lock, and never leave pets or children unattended in a vehicle. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest weather information.
