The Pella Fire Department is hosting their third annual breakfast during National Fire Prevention Week. Firefighter Justin Trenkamp says they are hosting a morning filled with activities and a meal for all ages from 6 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 12th at their fire station on Main Street. Fire Chief Doug Van Gorkom reminds all residents to check their safety equipment and plans in their homes as fire danger increases in the fall and winter months. Kids will be able to walk through a fire truck, try on bunker gear, and meet Marshall from Paw Patrol. Additionally, there will be prizes for raffle to help raise funds. Proceeds from donations made to the department will go towards a new UTV with a tank for Pella Rural Fire calls.
