It started so well for the Knoxville Football Squad in Grinnell on Friday. Carter Bailey took the first play and ran 82 yards to the Grinnell one to set up a touchdown two plays later and Knoxville was in business up 7-0 less than two minutes into the game as heard live on 95.3 KNIA. However, the Tigers would score 31 unanswered points to post a 38-10 win over the Panthers on Friday night. Grinnell responded by giving Knoxville its punishing running game coupled with precision passing to generate 424 yards of total offense. Knoxville Coach Eric Kellar told KRLS Sports his team did not do things well. Bailey led the Panthers’ ground attack with 124 yards on 12 carries. Knoxville is now 4-2 on the season and will come back home this Friday for homecoming to take on winless South Tama.
