The two-and-a-half hour bus ride did not stymie the Indianola football team Friday evening, as they blasted Mason City 50-7 for their third straight blowout victory in a game heard live on 94.3 KNIA. The Indians got on the board early with a Brennan Meacham 1-yard touchdown rush, followed by an 18 yard strike from quarterback Brayden Wireman to Blake Kennedy for another score. The Mohawks answered back to cut the lead to 7, but it was all Indianola after that including a rushing and receiving touchdown for Kael Kolarik, a 49-yard touchdown reception from Peyton Boozell, and backup quarterback Connor Troutman hitting Mark Pepper for a late score. The Indians improve to 4-2 on the season, and will next play perhaps their most important game of the season, hosting Johnston this Friday.
