What was shaping up to be a classic district clash became a lopsided blowout as Pella Christian ran Pleasantville out of Eagle Lane in a 54-13 blowout heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
The Eagles stopped Pleasantville on fourth down twice, and after a muffed punt, raced to an early 14-0 lead. Pella Christian didn’t look back, gaining over 300 yards on the ground on their way to a 41-6 lead at the break.
Pella Christian was led by a 17 carry, 164 yard return to action for Jase Amelse, who scored three touchdowns, and a 15 carry, 152 yard and three passing touchdown game from Dan Jungling.
The Eagles improve to 2-0 in the district and 2-4 overall, and hit the road to Colfax-Mingo; Pleasantville drops to 4-2, 1-1 in the district, and next head to Woodward-Granger.
