Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds visited Indianola Friday morning, touring CemenTech and Herschel Parts, as part of a business tour that included stops in Des Moines and Norwalk. Governor Reynolds tells KNIA News the stops were part of manufacturing day here in Iowa, celebrating an industry that is a big part of the Iowa workforce.

“We make things here in Iowa, so to see those incredible large machines that are in there pumping out pieces that go into the machinery here is very impressive. Very detailed work, and longevity. They’ve had employees here for a very long time. It was an opportunity for me to say thank you for being an employee here in the state of Iowa.”

Another Governor Reynolds program will be making its way to Indianola next week, with the Future Ready Iowa Program coming to Downing Inc. from 7-9:30am on October 16th.
