The Knoxville Fire Department will host their Open House and Chili Feed tomorrow at the Knoxville Fire station located at 305 S. 3rd Street. The feed will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and feature tours of the station, a fire safety house for kids, obstacle course for kids, as well as  MercyOne helicopter on location. Captain Jeff DeVoll with the department tells KNIA/KRLS News he thinks the open house is a great opportunity for people to meet Chief Cal Wyman who hasn’t been the Chief that long as well as see all the things the department has been doing. DeVoll says its a chance to celebrate things with the community because without them, nothing would be possible. The event is a free will donation event with all proceeds going towards the purchase of equipment needed by the department. For more information contact Knoxville Fire and Rescue.
