The Marion County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session today. The board will consider approval of the third and final reading of a proposed Marion County ordinance zoning map amendment for Sanctuary Gardens. The board will take possible action regarding a property insurance request from the Marion County Historical Society, as well as a request from Clay Township Trustees regarding permission to make an application for hazard mitigation funding to purchase an outdoor warning siren for the Tracy area. The board will make a final determination regarding the disposal of real property for the Pella Memorial Building, take possible action regarding medical examiner technology requests, as well as consider a resolution to amend a 28E Agreement to provide regional mental health and disability services for adults for the CROSS Mental Health Region. The board will consider a resolution regarding an agreement between Marion County and the Iowa Department of Transportation for paving of gravel road approaches as part of an IDOT project. They will discuss and take possible action regarding the completion of the Knoxville Area Transportation Location Study and review of final report findings as well as discuss and take possible action regarding the Secondary Road Department update. The board will also hold a discussion regarding a proposed Commercial Wind Energy Ordinance. They will also hold two closed sessions, each session regarding strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent. The meeting will begin at 9 am and will be held inside the Marion County Courthouse.
