The historic start to the 2019 Central College men’s soccer season continued Tuesday as the team was ranked No. 12 in the United Soccer Coaches national rankings, the program’s first-ever appearance in the poll. The Dutch are also No. 1 in the North Region poll for the first time in school history. Central has victories over No. 14 Luther College (8-2-1) and No. 25 Loras College (9-3-1) by identical 3-2 margins. Central’s men’s soccer program was started in 1993 but had never made its way into the top-25 until Tuesday. Central travels to Nebraska Wesleyan University tonight for an 8 p.m. match in Lincoln.
