Local volleyball teams know the teams they will have to beat if they want a shot to make it to the state tournament in Cedar Rapids. The Iowa High School Athletic Girls Union released regional postseason brackets for all classes Tuesday evening.

In Class 5A Region 3, Indianola opens at home against Ottumwa on October 23rd, with the winner advancing to face No. 11 Southeast Polk on October 29th.

In Class 4A, Pella and Knoxville both land in Region 5. The Lady Dutch, who have qualified for state four seasons in a row, will open with Washington on Wednesday, October 23rd, with No. 8 Marion waiting to host the winner on October 29th. No. 9 Knoxville has been given a first round bye and will welcome the winner of No. 10 Oskaloosa and Carlisle on the 29th.

In Class 3A, PCM will travel to No. 13 Nevada in Class 3A Region 7 on October 23rd.

In Class 2A Region 5, Pella Christian will host Interstate 35 on Tuesday, October 22nd at Eagle Lane. The winner advances to Pleasantville on October 28th. No. 7 Van Buren is on the Pella Christian/Pleasantville half of the bracket and is the top seed.

In Class 1A, Twin Cedars opens at Lynnville-Sully on October 22nd. Melcher-Dallas makes the short trip to Southeast Warren on October 22nd.

All games start at 7 p.m.
