Community members flocked to the Knoxville Township Rural Fire Department Saturday morning to once again take part in the department’s annual Pancake Feed. Residents and families in Knoxville were able to enjoy a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, eggs and a drink for a free will donation. The donations will be used to help purchase supplies for the department such as new protective gloves and socks. Fire trucks and equipment were on display throughout the event for families to look at and learn more about. This was the 11th year the department has hosted the pancake feed and Chief Kenny Thompson says he is thankful for everyone that came out and spent the morning with the department.
