A reporter with Sinclair Broadcast Group was in Knoxville recently to film areas of the old VA campus. Mark Hyman with Inside Your World Investigates, the national investigative unit for Sinclair Broadcast Group has been flying a drone and filming portions of the campus for an upcoming documentary on abandoned government buildings. Hyman tells KNIA/KRLS News  his investigative unit is focusing on Knoxville because there are a lot of Knoxville’s across the country that the federal government has left to deal with abandoned buildings and facilities that affect the everyday life of citizens in the community. He says the hope is that people as well as government officials and policymakers will see the documentary and start finding a way to fix the problem. Hyman says his documentary will air on Sinclair stations across the country on Thursday, October 24th.
