The Future Ready Iowa Program will be holding a collaborative, public-private partnership event in Indianola tomorrow, one of 27 such events being held around the state. The Future Ready Iowa Program aims to grow the skilled workforce in the state, and the program will include presentations about hiring and retaining underrepresented populations, enhancing high school to workforce pipelines, collaborating with community partners, and financial resources to support these efforts. Iowa Workforce Development Director Beth Townsend tells KNIA News the Future Ready Iowa Program is all about training the workforce of the future, and giving current students the best chance of obtaining a well-paying career potentially right out of high school. The Indianola event will take place at Downing, Inc. from 7-9:30am.
