Part two of the KNIA/KRLS Save a Life Radiothon will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Pella Regional Health Center. Medical Imaging Supervisor Marilou Ozinga says medical professionals and breast cancer survivors will share their stories during the two hour program meant to increase awareness about the importance of mammograms and early detection. Ozinga is a two-time cancer survivor herself, but says she remains in good health largely because her cancer was caught early, when it is more treatable. The 13th Annual KNIA/KRLS Save a Life Radiothon will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday on 92.1 KRLS. On Friday, Pella Christian High School will host Paint the Stands Pink Night, in part, to honor and support teacher Sheri Haveman, who is currently battling breast cancer. The annual Pella in Pink 2-mile walk and run begins at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Tulip Toren in Pella.
