The Pella volleyball team found little difficulty closing out the regular season with a senior night sweep of Grinnell (25-12, 25-15, 25-16) Tuesday.

The Lady Dutch dominated, with 11 service aces — five by Bailey Van Voorst, who also had 10 kills, and with just 9 hitting errors on the evening.

Senior Courtney Thompson says it was a strong way to play heading into the conference tournament and postseason.

“I like that our team came out and fought really well against Grinnell tonight, and put it all out there for us seniors and the team,” she says.

Jasmine Namminga and Meridith Rowe each had five kills, with the freshman Namminga also tallying four blocks.

Pella is 15-16 and finishes in 5th place in the Little Hawkeye Conference. They host the annual Little Hawkeye Conference tournament Thursday. Hear from the Lady Dutch seniors tonight at 6 p.m. on the Radio Sports Page on 92.1 KRLS.
