An update on the condition of a woman found on the floor of a burning Melcher-Dallas home has been given. According to friends and family, Amanda Lewis, 39, of Melcher-Dallas is in serious but stable condition at the University of Iowa Hospitals Burn Unit ICU in Iowa City. Shortly after noon Friday emergency crews responded to the call of a fire at a home in Melcher-Dallas. When crews arrived, they made entry to the home and found Lewis  unresponsive on the floor of the residence. Lewis was originally airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines before being airlifted to Iowa City. The home was a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt. Friends and family of Lewis are also asking for donations for Lewis and her family and a Go Fund Me account has been established as well.
