Pella’s football team finds itself just two steps away from reclaiming the top prize in Class 3A District 7, but to finish the job and get the crown, they have to take the first step tonight on the road against Newton.

The Little Dutch have battled back from two straight losses to end non-district play in forceful fashion, outscoring their foes 122-15 in the three district games held thus far.

Head Coach Jay McKinstrey says now is not the time to let up, especially against a Newton team capable of upsetting the ride the Dutch currently are on.

Pella will have to contend with an up-and-down, but balanced Newton attack led by Quarterback Kyle Long and running backs Will Cheng and Cody Satterfield.
