The leader of a legendary Iowa High School Baseball team came to Pella Thursday to share his story and speak to locals about the importance of legacy. Kent Stock was the head coach of the 1991 Norway Baseball team, who in its final season due to school consolidation, won a state championship. Stock says he took a long journey to becoming the assistant coach for the legendary team before taking over in the final slate of games for the program before the school was absorbed by the Benton Community School District. Stock’s keynote presentation was titled “How Do You Want To Be Remembered?,” and was held at Douwstra Auditorium.
