The KNIA/KRLS annual Save a Life Radiothon was held Tuesday evening in conjunction with the Girls Night Out event at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Bob Leonard hosted the KNIA/KRLS event which featured medical professionals as well as cancer survivors speaking about the importance of women getting screened while telling about their own personal battle with cancer. The Girls Night Out event which took place during the Radiothon featured different vendors, food and free giveaways throughout the evening as well as different hospital departments reminding women of certain health screenings and appointment options available at the hospital for a variety of women’s health issues. This was the 13th year the Save A Life Radiothon was held to help bring awareness to women about different cancers and health issues that can affect them and why women should should pay more attention to their bodies and health. The Radiothon will travel to the Pella Regional Health Center Thursday night.
