Going into week 8, the Indianola football team sat at 15th in the RPI standings, which would have put them into the playoffs. Despite their setback against Waukee on Friday night, the Indians will still have a good chance at making the playoffs if they can dispatch Des Moines East, and if Waukee can defeat Johnston. Waukee’s similar 5-3 record will be a boost, as well as having the top opponents Waukee has faced earlier in the season. The Indians will travel to Des Moines East this Friday night to round out their regular season.
