The fall sports postseason begins for volleyball teams this week, and local cross country teams will try to advance to the state tournament.

Pella Christian opens at home for volleyball Tuesday against Interstate 35, while the Lady Dutch will host Washington Wednesday, with both matches beginning at 7 p.m.

Pella will host the state qualifying cross country meet Thursday, with Knoxville joining the ranked Dutch teams at Central College. Pella Christian joins PCM and Pleasantville at Marshalltown Thursday afternoon.

Pairings for state swimming qualifiers were released last week by the Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union. Lady Dutch swimmers with the NCMP Newton team are heading to Grinnell College on November 2nd.
