The Knoxville Cross Country Squads will head Pella on Thursday for the state qualifying meet. The Panthers look to get at least one runner on the girls side as Norah Pearson, who has had a great season to this point, is ranked number five in the latest class 3A poll according to the Iowa Track Coaches Association. Last week Pearson became the first Knoxville High School student and the second runner in program history to win a conference individual title. The first was Twin Cedars student Sharlet Bailey in 1993 running for the Panthers in a sharing agreement between the schools. The State Qualifier at Central College in Pella is set to get underway Thursday at four.
