The Melcher-Dallas Cross Country Squads will head to the class 1A State Qualifier hoping to get at least a couple of runners to the state meet. Emery Sage has been outstanding all season for the Saint boys, not finishing lower than fourth in any meet. He is currently ranked #17 in the latest Iowa Track Coaches Association 1A rankings. Another runner that has not had the season she has hoped is J’Lyn Knutson. Knutson has been dealing with injuries and hopes to notch her third straight trip to the state meet.
