Pella’s playoff journey started with a 3-1 win in the Class 4A Regional opener, defeating Washington (25-17, 25-16, 24-26, 25-10).

The Lady Dutch led the majority of the four sets, including the one they dropped, when they gave up seven points in a row to drop that set, only to come firing out to dominate the final 25 points.

Head Coach Catie Brand says a balanced attack overall was fueled by Anna Vander Waal at the setter position, with her 30 assists.

Meridith Rowe had eight kills to just 2 errors and Jasmine Namminga had 7 kills, with Vander Waal tallying six of her own, as the sophomore also added 9 service aces as well.

Pella improves to 18-18 overall and next heads to No. 8 Marion on Tuesday, October 29th.
