A district title hangs in the balance in a winner-take-all game to end the 2019 football regular season as Pella Christian heads to Truro to take on Interstate 35 tonight. The winner of tonight’s contest will claim the automatic playoff bid in Class 1A District 7, with the loser having their season come to a close. Since an 0-4 start in non-district competition, Pella Christian has made a mad dash to the finish line with four straight wins, including a critical week 8 contest last week to Woodward-Granger with a last second two point conversion stop. Interstate 35 has bounced back from a loss to those same Hawks to get themselves in a prime position to claim the district crown. The Roadrunners and Eagles clashed one year ago for the same prize, with I-35 winning 21-18, but P.C. had the last laugh, qualifying for their second straight semifinals trip to the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls after two road wins.
