It’s a light schedule for the upcoming week, but big events at the end of the week for PCM Athletics. The football team earned an at-large playoff bid, and will open their defense of their state title in Friday’s playoff opener. The Mustangs will hit the road to take on Benton Community Friday evening, who were champions of Class 2A District 7. The two programs will meet for the first time on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the KRLS3 stream.

It will be a big day on Saturday for PCM freshman Paige Steenhoek. She qualified for the state cross country meet in Thursday’s qualifier in Williamsburg. The 2A girls race begins at 1:00 at Kennedy Park in Fort Dodge.
