Knoxville elementary students and their families had the opportunity to learn more about fire safety, internet safety and CPR as well as enjoy a sausage and pancake dinner during the Knoxville Elementary PTO’s Fall Family Fun Night Thursday evening. The fun night was held at the Knoxville Fire Department and included vehicles and equipment from the Knoxville Police Department as well as Knoxville Fire and Rescue on hand for children and families to look at as well as ask questions about. The Knoxville Public Library was in attendance and read stories to the children. The children also had the chance to meet Sparky the Fire Dog and McGruff the Crime Dog. The first 450 children in attendance also received a free new book. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio was on hand playing music and making announcements.
