Four local teams continue the push to the Dome this week as the Iowa High School football playoffs begin.
Pella won Class 3A District 7, and earned a first round home game as the 7th team in RPI. They will host No. 11 Independence, in a bracket with Solon and Iowa City Liberty on the other side. Hear the Dutch on KRLS2.
Pella Christian won Class 1A District 7, and earned an automatic bid to the postseason. No. 16 seed Pella Christian opens at No. 1 Van Meter in a regular season rematch. That game can be heard on 92.1 KRLS.
Indianola qualified by .0010 over Sioux City east and is the 16th ranked RPI team in Class 4A. They will be on the road to open the playoffs at No. 1 Valley on 94.3 KNIA.
PCM finished 10th overall in the RPI standings, and will be on the road to open the 2A playoffs with an at-large bid. The Mustangs take on Benton on the road Friday on KRLS3.
All games start at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 1st, with pregame shows of each beginning at 6:30. Award-winning Football Friday Night coverage will air from 4:30 to 6:30 on KNIA/KRLS.
