Ten days after playing its last match, the #12 Knoxville Volleyball Squad will start the road to Cedar Rapids with a class 4A regional semi-final tonight in Knoxville against Carlisle. The two teams played very early in the season, in fact it was on the first night of competition when Knoxville swept through its quad back on August 26th. Both teams have improved with Knoxville at 25-7 on the season and winners of the South Central Conference and Carlisle at 22-14 finishing fifth in the Raccoon River Conference. The Panthers will have to deal with a team that while not real tall at any one position, the Wildcats bring a lot of length to the table. The winner gets the survivor of the Pella and Marion match with a host to be determined by the highest remaining ranked team on Thursday. First serve tonight is scheduled for seven.
