Local children will have the opportunity to trick or treat this Halloween as local communities will conduct their annual Beggars’ Night festivities. In the communities of Knoxville, Pleasantville and Melcher-Dallas Beggars’ Night will be held tomorrow from 6-8pm and in Bussey Beggars’ Night will also be held tomorrow but will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Beggars night In Indianola will be held tonight from 6 to 8 pm. The Knoxville Police Department would like to remind residents not to play in the streets and to walk on sidewalks and to avoid wearing masks and instead try to use face paint to allow you to see long distances. Anyone participating in Beggars Night should always have a light of some sort and try to go to familiar houses instead of strangers.
Beggar’s night activities in the Cities of Pella, Monroe, and Prairie City will be on Thursday. Kids can trick or treat from 6 to 8 p.m. throughout those communities.
