Since a heartbreaking loss to Northwestern on October 12th, the Pella and Pella Christian alumni playing football with Dordt University have bounced back in a big way. The Defenders have not allowed a touchdown since dropping the game to the Red Raiders, defeating Doane 61-0 and Concordia 35-0, improving to 5-3 overall. Many of the 11 former Dutch and Eagles players continue to play critical roles on the Dordt football team; Noah Clayberg had over 200 yards total and a score this past Saturday and Levi Jungling had 92 yards receiving and a score, while David Kacmarynski continued anchoring the Defenders D, with two sacks in that same game. Clayberg is averaging 118 yards rushing and Jungling just over 49 receiving per contest. Reece Schnell has 83 total yards on the season and Lucas Warner has a receiving score. Kacmarynski has 15.5 tackles for loss this season, Quinton Murphy has 22 total tackles and two fumble recoveries, and Sam Warner has 14 tackles and a sack in eight games. Alex Huisman has seen regular action on the offensive line as well.
