The Knoxville Football defense was what the Panthers were known for this season. Knoxville as a team lowered its per game yards given up by nearly 100 this season. One person that was a big key to that success was Ben Olson. Olson anchored the linebacking corps leading the Panthers in tackles with 75.5 this season, which was third in class 3A district seven. His 46 solo tackles was fourth overall in district play, and he was tied for first place in the district with 14 tackles for loss, plus he and teammate Blaise Hubler (HEW-blur) shared the top spot in district place with five quarterback sacks. The Panthers finished with their best record since 2005 with a 6-3 mark.
