While the Knoxville Volleyball season came to an end on Tuesday…the Panthers finished 25-8 with a third straight South Central Conference tittle. Also in the mix this season was a couple of records that were set. Maggie Wilkins broke the season digs record with 470, breaking the mark set by Cassidy Pearson in 2017 of 447. Katie Keitges is now the career record holder in kills with 972 and broke Stacy Avitt’s record set in 1993, she also finished her Panther volleyball career with 1,065 digs. Marley McKay, while not a record, reached a milestone of 1000 assists in her career early in the season and currently sites fourth in career assists with 1,571. Coach Mollie Keitges tells KRLS Sports these record could not have been made without great team play. McKay will likely hit 2,000 career assists which is looked on as a substantial milestone in high school volleyball during her senior season next year.
