The second annual Trunk or Treat event held at the Indianola Public Library was held Wednesday evening, with Indianola and area residents braving the cold to see the various city departments dress up and decorate their equipment. Janis Comer with the library tells KNIA News seeing people brave the cold and snow to come out and make the event bigger and better than ever was amazing.
“I think it only gets bigger from here. People love coming out and seeing the big trucks and decorations, we can always count on the city and IMU to bring out the big trucks. We are a one stop shop, people can come get a hot dog, get candy, and be on their way.”
Voting was also held for the best decorations from various city departments, with the Indianola Police Department being awarded the coveted Silver Pumpkin award.
