The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday night. The council approved a sign exemption request from Parker Signs, approved emergency repairs for a sinkhole adjacent to Norwalk Ready Mix. The council also gave direction to city staff to continue to work with the Iowa DOT about the curbs on Highway 92. The proposal from the DOT would be that while the current repairs to Highway 92 are going on, the work to the curbs would simultaneously take place while repair crews are in the area, and the city would reimburse the DOT. No official action was taken, and an estimate has yet to take place on the repairs.
