The Indianola City Council will have two new members in its ranks after Tuesday’s election, with one incumbent keeping a spot. Councilman John Parker will keep his seat in Ward 1 after receiving 55% of the votes, while Gwen Schroder received 56% in Ward 3, and Heather Hulen took the At-Large seat with 56%.

Hulen tells KNIA News she appreciates all the people who went out to vote, and the people that supported her, and she looks forward to serving Indianola in the at-large seat on the council.

There were four spots open for the Indianola School Board, with seven candidates running for all at-large seats. Rob Keller, Ben Metzger, Donna Kreamer, and Sue Wilson were the top four vote-getters.

Results are unofficial, as all remaining absentee ballots will need to be counted and the election to be officially certified.
