The Indianola City Council gave direction to city staff to discuss the possibility of keeping the Indianola Brush Facility open later in the year, to better accommodate a wet fall. Indianola City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the city received several requests from residents to open the brush facility, and council was in favor of the action.
“We presented a draft timeline to take it out two additional weekends. Right now we are in the mode of reaching out to staff to see if they are available to staff it those additional days. The net impact is really going to be about $300, so it’s not a large amount to be able to provide this additional service to our residents.”
Waller also said the dates the brush facility will be opened back up is not yet determined, but should be announced shortly. For more information on Monday’s Indianola City Council meeting, tune in to today’s Let’s Talk Indianola.
