Coming off a state championship season in Class 2A, there was some uncertainty as to how the PCM football team might perform in 2019. The Mustangs lost their first game in over a year in Week 2 against West Marshall, but finished non-district play 3-1. The games were close toward the beginning of the season, but Head Coach Greg Bonnett says that his team started to gel after a rough start.

The Mustangs went 4-1 in district play, losing on the road to Des Moines Christian. The Mustangs won their first round playoff game at Benton Community before bowing out in the quarterfinals on a long road trip to OABCIG. PCM finished 8-3 in 2019, and they say goodbye to 13 seniors.
