Central College’s men’s soccer team is in a familiar place today, but in unfamiliar territory.  The Dutch have made the trek to Decorah, home of conference rival Luther, for their first ever appearance in the NCAA Division III national tournament.

Central won the American Rivers Conference regular season championship, another program first, and are 14-3-2 on the season.  Today’s opponent for coach Gary Laidlaw’s Dutch is Wisconsin-Superior, who sports a 16-3-2 record.

“Wisconsin-Superior has had a couple really good years run, and they’ve cleaned up in their own league for a number of years now.”

Today’s match begins at 3:30.  The winner will play either Luther or Principia tomorrow afternoon.
