A lot of movement happened between the 20’s, but there was not a lot of scoring occurred in the Simpson football team’s victory over Luther 16-10 Saturday in a game heard live on KNIA. The Storm had 442 yards of total offense, but was held to just two touchdowns on the day, while the Norse had 383 yards of offense and scored just one touchdown, while both teams kicked it through the uprights for 3. The Storm scored first on a Noah Bruckner 2 yard td rush to take a 7-0 lead. The teams traded field goals after that for the Storm to go into the half up 10-7. Luther would tie it up at 10 in the third, but Simpson answered right back to take a 16-10 lead. Neither team found paydirt in the final frame, despite Luther having the ball in the red zone with 3 minutes to go, but fumbled the ball and the Storm ran out the clock. The Storm end the season with a 5-5 overall record, and 4-4 in American Rivers Conference play. They graduate 15 seniors.
