2019-20 group of Career Academy of Pella Apprentinceship Students met Governor Reynolds in July 2019
All area high school students are invited to explore apprenticeships at the Career Academy of Pella at a recruitment night event. Pella Director of K-12 Curriculum Lowell Ernst says parents and students from all area schools are invited to the open house on Monday, November 25th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Pella High School commons. Ernst says the school offers a unique educational experience that pairs classroom learning with on-the-job experience in welding, engineering, culinary arts, and nursing, providing certification while earning a wage. Ernst says an early childhood program is also under development, which would work with DMACC and Central College and local child care providers. The event is free and open to all high school students in the region.
